Cloudteam is seeking a hands-on Hadoop Developer to support enterprise data applications for a major healthcare organization in Jacksonville.

This role includes production support and new development, including SQL stored-procedure work supporting the conversion of existing Ab Initio processes. The ideal candidate will have recent hands-on experience with Hadoop, Spark, Python, SQL, and stored procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Hadoop-based data applications and processing workflows.
• Build and maintain Spark and Spark SQL solutions.
• Develop Python components supporting data-processing and application workflows.
• Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Support initiatives converting existing Ab Initio processes into stored-procedure-based solutions.
• Troubleshoot, test, debug, and support applications in production.
• Prepare technical specifications and document system changes.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, project managers, and business partners.
• Follow established development, release, version-control, and change-management practices.

Required Qualifications

• At least 3 years of related application-development experience.
• Recent hands-on Hadoop development experience.
• Hands-on Spark or Spark SQL development experience.
• Python development experience.
• Strong SQL and stored-procedure development experience.
• Experience with unit testing, debugging, technical design, and application support.
• Ability to work onsite in Jacksonville 2–3 days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting large enterprise data environments.
• Experience with Ab Initio or projects involving the conversion of Ab Initio workloads.
• Experience in healthcare, insurance, or another regulated industry.
• Familiarity with Git or comparable version-control tools.
