I have over forty (40) years of experience, primarily as a consultant, designing, developing and implementing a variety of applications primarily utilizing IDMS, ADSO, COBOL, DB2, IMS DB/DC as well as most of the mainframe related software and/or tools. In addition I have worked on multi-platform projects that either accessed the mainframe from the web or used an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB). Regardless of the software / hardware used to get data in and out of the enterprise, my background enables me to get up to speed quickly in all areas necessary. I also have strong analytical and conceptual skills which is why I have a history of getting project design and development right on the first try. My testing skills have also been implemental in writing "bullet proof" code that has stood the test of time. My flagship project was designing and developing the mainframe portion of a "Thin-Client" application which converted mainframe conversational "green" screens to web pseudo-conversational screens. See details at www.divaprogrammer.com. I have also developed COBOL DLL (Java) and XML programs. Working in so many different environments has given me a vast collection of solutions to draw from when having to resolve almost any mainframe issue. I have very strong analytical, design and technical skills and get along well with my peers, management and customers. I enjoy a challenge and work hard to meet commitments. Though I have many years of experience, they have mostly been spent in the trenches so I don't feel over qualified for any position. I enjoy mentoring and also learning from others. My favorite part of the job is to make the jobs of others easier and more efficient.
