Mr. Orem has extensive years of hands-on experience in Data Processing Management. He has designed, developed, tested, and implemented large-scale interactive CICS and WEB-based systems in IBM mainframe environments and ASP.NET. He has converted the PTT system from Stored Procedure Address Space (SPAS) to Work Load Manager (WLM), and provided comprehensive management, maintenance, and enhancement of the LMS system. He has utilized Release III of LMS (crew management and labor pricing) to engaged 6,600 Train and Engine employees (Engineers and Conductors); and has designed, developed, tested, and implemented the system using MicroFocus/XDB, successfully operating in IBM Mainframe environment utilizing DB2 database. He has effectively maintained, updated, and supported the system with operations and the user on a 24 hour-a-day basis; and successfully converted the Train and Engine crew dispatch system from VSAM CSP (Cross System Product) to a DB2 Cobol CICS/BMS environment with emphasis on incorporating the relational structure of DB2 to streamline business relational functions. In addition, he has extensive hands-on experience in implementing and supporting Quintiq optimization software. Mr. Orem designed, developed, and tested software to support the FRA hours of service regulations.

• Mr. Orem has over 40 years of experience in mainframe technologies including CICS applications and internals, Cobol, DB2, IDCAMS, and IMS/DB, CICS BMS/SDF2, Endevor, VSAM, QA/PMO gateway.
• Experience with SAP payroll interface and HR.
• Mr. Orem is also the owner and president of Orion Technical Services, Inc. He also founded Systems Resources, Inc. Michael Orem & Associates, Inc., and Business Solutions Group, Inc.
• Mr. Orem has led many IT projects including development, SOW, RFP, and vendor software selection. He has participated in short-term cost and long-term (1 year and 5-year business planning) budget and cost planning and reporting. He has traveled the country teaching OS JCL at remote locations (RJE) for a major retailer. His management skills and technical ability make him unique in his field.
