Highly motivated Senior Software Developer with more than 25 years’ experience working on IBM Mainframes, as well as Internet applications. I enjoy turning a concept into reality and looking for opportunities to improve existing software. Developed highly complex reporting system for University of Pennsylvania Development Department, allowing for up to 50 ad hoc reports and data collection (on tape) where each report can select certain fields, sort and format them. This was done in PL/1 and Adabas SQL with a front-end CICS area to enter rep[ort criteria. At IBM, created an automatic HELP system which generated code, using BMS maps, to be included in PL/x or Cobol programs to capture cursor positiomn and send to Help program with the field selected. This was in response to watching people use a calculator to determine field position on screen and manually update the code. This new program was placed in the compile JCL to automatically generate code, so it would not need to be manually redone whenever the map changed.
