Throughout all of my years of experience, I can confidently say I have obtained the skills and qualities it takes to be an excellent nurse. In addition, I consider myself a caring, empathetic, and hard working individual with sound judgment when placed in difficult situations. I adapt quickly to change and have excellent communication skills. I am fluent in both English and Spanish. Throughout the years, I have gained nursing skill experience in rehabilitation centers, where I dealt with post-op patients and had the opportunity to enhance my nursing skills such as dealing with NG tubes, Peg tube feedings, IV administration, Foley catheters, wound care, respiratory care and pain management. I have also worked in long-term care facilities, hospice care and ambulatory/out-patient care. I have been actively working as an LPN for the last twelve years which has reinforced my abilities to exceed in different specialties. Working at Cleveland Clinic for the last nine years has made me become very knowledgable in multiple specialties like Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine, Internal Medicine, Allergy, Immunology Cardiology and Neurology to name a few. I feel very confident in managing care with patients suffering from chronic diseases and have in depth understanding of certain diseases and disorders. I have also become very familiar with most specialty medications. I acquired essential knowledge in the areas of chronic lung diseases and sleep medicine by working side by side with a pulmonologist for six years.
