I am passionate about collaborations and cross-team knowledge-sharing teams to ensure compliance with security best practices. Motivated with staying up-to-date with the latest security trends and tools in the InfoSec community, I thrive on fast paced and innovative work environments. Becoming an integral part of an adaptable, problem-solving, robust team is a high priority. As the Police Records Division Manager and key member of the implementation team which transitioned the Department to a new Law Enforcement Agency Records Management System, I have a history of meeting and exceeding the bottomline. As the only non-IT staff member, and subsequent SuperUser, during the LEA RMS project, a spark ignited an interest in me to direct my career path to the Information Security realm. In 2020, I was named one of the Top 40 Under 40 young business people in Abilene, Texas. My strengths, including being a self-starter and excelling in both customer service and communication skills, were highlighted in the nomination letter written to the Chamber of Commerce by my Department Director. I acquired a Certificate of Cybersecurity from the University of Austin Bootcamp in June of 2022. I earned an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts from College of the Sequoias, proceeding a ten-year career as a Pharmacy Technician in both California and Texas. With a background steeped heavily in the art of protecting HIPAA, CJIS, Open Government, evidentiary items, and employee records, it is apparent following policies and procedures while maintaining high ethical standards are just a few of many reasons why I would be a valuable addition to any security/analytics team.
