Alana has experience working with diverse populations in a variety of settings including psychiatric hospitals, outpatient mental health clinics, and schools providing psychotherapy and crisis intervention. In her clinical work Alana utilizes techniques including psychoeducation, CBT and DBT skills, Motivational Interviewing, art therapeutic activities and talk therapy to work with clients to address challenges they are facing and to improve their quality of life. Alana practices social work through a harm reduction-oriented and trauma-informed lens. She is passionate about social justice and improving access to quality mental health care resources for all.
