Ever since I was a kid, I had a passion for learning foreign languages. Starting from my background as child of an immigrant family, I started out bilingual in Chinese and English. Then later on, in middle and school, I realized my affinity for foreign language when French and Spanish became the subject that I excelled at. Later on, in high school I took it further by teaching myself five other language. It gave me a high like no other. However I never imagined to put my passion to use in my career, opting instead for a safe 9-5 job. Now it feels like life coming full circle. I am going back to the things I was passionate as a kid. This time though, I want to put my passion to use in my career, whether that's being a linguist or interpreter.
This is me taking a shot in the dark and taking a jump for once on blind faith. I am confident that my passion will lead to success.
