Hadoop Data Analysts are accountable for analyzing customer request data to the Hadoop environment and assist in onboarding users, applications and data into the Hadoop platform. This analyst is also accountable for assessment, improvement and governance of quality and ongoing condition of critical data assets.

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related IT experience
• 3+ year of relevant consulting or industry experience
• 2 or more years of Data Analysis experience.
• 1 or more years of experience creating dashboards for reporting.
• Knowledge of Hadoop or prior experience working in a Hadoop environment.
• Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience.
• Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well as Internet research tools.
• Understanding of security roles and groups in and enterprise IT environment.
• Knowledge of data mining, machine learning, data visualization and statistical modeling
• Experience in analysis packages and at least one of the programming languages such as R, Python, SQL and SAS.

Preferred:

• Splunk dashboard and reporting experience is a plus.
• Linux scripting experience is also a plus.
