Role: Cloud Consultant

Main Purpose of the Role:
This is a hands on cloud consultant. The successfully hired candidate will ensure high customer satisfaction delivering cloud projects. The candidate would ensure a highly satisfied customer experience and drive to reduce labor input, costs, implementation time, and time to benefit. The candidate will help increase profit margins and enhance consistent delivery and operational efficiency. The candidate must expect to work in parallel across multiple projects and look to assist in the industrialization of the process to support the rapid timescales opportunities demand.

Key Role & Responsibility:
The Cloud Consultant is a cloud role in the project delivery cycle with hands on experience migrating customers to the cloud and designing operational processes, deployment checklists, etc. This role will work closely with clients, partners and other business units to ensure consulting engagements are successful. He/she must be fully flexible and mobile across the US.

• Proven experience in cloud provisioning on Azure / AWS
• Proven experience in envisioning, presenting and defending new solutions in complex cloud architectures
• Strong background in web application architecture, data architecture, integration architecture. Strong understanding of infrastructure architecture.
• Solid implementation experience on new innovative solutions using Docker containers on AWS or Azure or other private/public IaaS/PaaS platforms.
• Extensive experience in architecting microservices based enterprise applications
• Strong design & development experience in Java platform, Spring boot, RESTful API
• A working understanding of migrating servers (Windows, Linux) from On-Prem / Virtual to Cloud
• Ability to trouble shoot cloud environment
• Hands on experience on Docker / Containerization for Infrastructure as service
• Proven ability to build an environment and clone it out through containerization techniques

Essential skills, knowledge & experience:

They include the ability to understand and communicate the following at an executive level both internally and externally:

• 3+ years’ experience on Cloud Provisioning and Strong understanding of cloud migration techniques (on premise to Cloud Platforms)
• Experience in Windows Administration & PowerShell scripting
• Demonstrable experience with Docker / Kubernetes
• .NET programming understanding
• Webserver – Apache, JBOSS, Microsoft Webserver, etc.
• Secure+, SSL encryption and certificate management
• Experience in architecting security architectures across infrastructure and applications
• Database – MySql & Oracle (with knowledge/experience of SQL)
• Experience in performance tuning, including the following: (load balancing F5’s, web servers, content delivery Networks, Caching (Content and API)
• Demonstrable experience in the elicitation & specification of architectural, functional and non-functional requirements
• A good appreciation of the cost drivers in systems delivery and operations and the commercial consequences of the technical decisions made by you and/or others
• Ability to develop productive client relationships at different management levels and identify and develop opportunities for new business

Desirable skills, knowledge & experience:

• Understanding of hybrid IT situations – that combine on-premise IT capabilities with Cloud IT capabilities.
• Experience in defining approach and migrating applications and workloads to a private or public IaaS provider.
• Good knowledge of key cloud vendors; evaluate options for optimum cloud architecture
• Understand integration, customization, performance and security/compliance requirements with AWS and other cloud providers
• Understanding of hosted container solutions like kubernetes etc.
• Ability to define & build a DevOps roadmap
• Excellent communication skills, strong writing and presentation skills
• Knowledge on Service Virtualization (CA Service Virtualization, Parasoft, Smart Bear, etc.) is an added advantage
