DBA administers database systems to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data. The IT Database Administrator is responsible for installations, upgrades, backups, and configuration. IT Database Administrators also maintain query language for established database systems, design and execute backup and recovery schemes and implement disaster recovery procedures. The IT Database Administrator works with end-users and project team members to understand and advise on database and query requirements and capabilities. The IT Database Administrator is assigned to complex database systems and is relied upon to optimize database performance, configuration, access and security and to serve on project teams contributing database subject matter expertise. Will work with development team, solving production issues
Skill Sets Needed:
DB2, LUW,
5 to 7 years of experience as as DB2 DBA
Nice to Have:
Sailfish
- Production work expected on varying weekends
- Project, Patch work
- Deadline driven environment
