JOB DESCRIPTION
Experience –
- Completed 2+ projects with hands-on testing experience with ETL and/or data migration
- Written test scripts with very specific expected results based on data analysis
- Written test scripts for both positive and negative testing
- Written test plans including test coverage required for completion
- Test data creation to allow controlled data-driven testing – positive & negative (fault injection)
- Comfortable in joint development of overall test strategy with test lead
- Ability to articulate issues clearly through bug reporting and accurate steps to recreate
- Testing completed utilizing both automated and manual testing techniques
- Ability to discern suitability for automated versus manual test scenarios/cases
- Experience with test automation (JIRA, Selenium, etc) in the context of a reusable test framework
- Ability to articulate operational test steps involved in both automated and manual testing
- Prior test experience involving a spectrum of sources and targets
- Data warehouse
- Legacy systems
- Commercial CRM packages
- Testing via execution of delivered code from a development team
- Informatica
- PL/SQL
- Talend
- Python
- Etc
- Testing to total completion within an AGILE (preferable SCRUM) framework with very short sprints (2 to 3 weeks)
- 5+ years in the full life cycle of ETL/data migration development is a huge plus
Responsibilities –
- Accurate, non-abstract test plans, test cases, test data and expected results
- Integral involvement in overall test design and strategy
- Reusable test automation to the full extent possible
- Full operational understanding of objects being tested
- Ability to initially diagnose test-affecting environmental issues and resolve to the extent possible
- Clear, regular communication with test lead
Qualifications –
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
- Three to five years hands-on testing experience in an ETL, data migration and/or data conversion setting – could be as little as two based on more intense experience with automated and manual testing
- Experience in data mapping – preferred
