Role description:
We are looking for a full time resource to handle night shift production support. This resource will be required to handle calls from our internal Prod monitoring teams regarding failed/errant jobs. They will need to be able to research the issues, and perform Level 1 and Level 2 resolution steps. If needing to escalate to Level 3, they would be on point to perform due diligence and provide appropriate findings along with the escalation request. In addition, they will be required to document the steps they OR the L3 resource went through to resolve the issues. This documentation will be used to build and maintain a knowledge base for future use. In order to accomplish this they will need to be able to dig into SSIS package definitions and PL/SQL stored procedures and understand what the jobs are meant to do. The resource may be asked to complete some configuration and low level development tasks as well when time permits.
This role will begin as an on-site, daytime role during the initial onboarding and training. This is expected to last at least 60 days, with the final date depending on the resource's progress evaluations as determined by management. After this period, the role will move into a night time (Mon-Fri 10PM to 6AM) shift. At that point, remote work capabilities may be considered based on resource performance. Occasional overtime as needed, per manager's discretion.
