Requirements:

  • 3-5 years’ experience with Routers and Switch design and support.
  • Strong communicator, who is customer oriented. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience capturing and reading trace files is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a team environment using best-practice procedures in area of expertise
  • Ability to work effectively with and influence internal and external parties to achieve results
  • Knowledge and experience in a large environment, including extensive hands-on experience with Cisco ASA’s, Routers, Core Switches, TACACS, A10 Load Balancers, Riverbed, etc. (preferred)
  • Knowledge of BGP and WAN routing protocols
  • Scripting experience using within Solarwinds Orion Suite or large-scale network management tools will be a plus
  • Experience with Cisco routers, switches, VPN and load balancing technologies, voice and video
  • Experience with protocols that includes networking, routing, remote access, and Internet configurations
  • Cisco Certifications (preferred)
  • Experience with Checkpoint Firewalls will be a plus
  • Knowledge of commonly used IT concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Ability to think critically, quickly, and strategically
  • Good knowledge of ITIL concept and process adherence
  • Experience in large, multi-platform production environments and multi-sites environment
  • Able to prioritize, plan, and organize work and deliverables
  • Demonstrate the ability to proactively lead and work in a global, multi-site, cross functional, matrixed organization

Job Responsabilities:

  • Responsible for planning, design, optimization, implementation and management of network equipment for global operations.
  • Troubleshoot network problems
  • Installation and configuration of network equipment
  • Act as escalation support for customers and the technical offshore team.
  • Partner with clients, Capgemini team members and other vendors as the face of Capgemini network operations
  • Manage network operations proactively and constantly identifying continuous improvement to meet critical expectations of the client.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Network performance and troubleshooting
  • Drive Weekly/Monthly Network operations review with customer
  • Participate in design, optimization, and implementation and operational support activities for Networking equipment such as Routers, Switches, ASAs, WiFi AP/Controllers, WAN Accelerators, Firewalls, IPS/IDS, Sniffers, and Circuit Management
  • Establish and manage network at various (also new) sites
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot network hardware and software as needed
  • Maintaining CMDB for Network equipment and circuit
  • Hands on experience of managing Solarwinds Network monitoring tools
  • Provide technical guidance and support in interpreting and reacting to network events when required.
  • Participate in developing policies, procedures and technical reports associated with operating and maintaining the global network
  • Drive incident and problem resolution for critical issues impacting network performance
  • Proactive in continuous improvement of network operations
