Job Description Skills

• Supervises personnel engaged in monitoring and preventing hazards on the work site.
• Demonstrates technical leadership and functional guidance to ensure regulatory standards are being enforced.
• Conducts training to groups of individuals on a variety of safety & risk management subjects
• Develops and audits safety programs and policies
• Instills a culture revolving around safety
• Maintains safety record keeping for OSHA reporting
• Conducts regular safety inspections to ensure safety programs and policies are being followed
• Identifies and mitigates hazards at job site locations
• Investigates accidents, injuries, and job damages
• Assists in development of corrective actions for accidents, injuries, and job damages
• Managing DOT and FMCSA requirements
• Monitors contracts for service of fire and safety equipment

Desired Skills:

• BCSP Certification – CHST, OSHT, ASP, or CSP, or equivalent
• CDL Class A License
• OSHA 500 and 510 Certifications for teaching OSHA Outreach
• Experience working with Underground Utilities
• Experience with NFPA 70E and National Electrical Safety Code (NESC)
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse employee and client populations.
• Strong written, verbal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay flexible while meeting deadlines and goals.
• Current CPR/First Aid/AED Trainer
