Med/Surg Orthopedics Unit: The Orthopedic-Medical/Surgical unit consists of 47 beds. We are proud to serve a diverse patient population consisting of 60% Orthopedic and 40% Medical/Surgical patients. Our specialty focus includes patients undergoing total joint replacement surgery, fractures and fracture repairs, osteomyelitis and minor trauma. We collaborate with nationally recognized orthopedic surgeons specializing in hip, knee, ankle and shoulder surgeries to assist patients achieve their maximum mobility and independence. The medical / surgical patients we care for have a wide variety of medical/surgical diagnoses ranging from minor to complex including, but not limited to: cardiac, respiratory, gastroenterology, renal disease, neuro, endocrine, behavioral health, infectious disease and the general surgery patient. Our multidisciplinary care team works together to coordinate individualized care and optimize patient outcomes through evidence based practice and exceptional care.

Med/Surg Cardiac Services Unit: The Medical/Surgical Cardiac Unit is a 45 bed fast paced unit that includes the post-surgical cardiac patient population. This is a fast paced unit where we focus on patient satisfaction, quality and teamwork together. You will provide safe and effective nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process. We provide care to patients with a primary cardiac diagnosis, including congestive heart failure, chest pain, and arrhythmias. We are trained to begin specific antiarrhythmic drugs, including IV Cardizem, IV Amiodarone, and oral Sotalol.

• Largest cardiology group in all of HCA (17 cardiologists)
• If someone is interested in cardiac this is a good unit to start out in and they have the opportunity to move into CVICU if they do well

ICU RN: We are a 432-bed, full-service medical and surgical acute care center offering comprehensive cardiovascular care, oncology, orthopedics, neurosciences, minimally-invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery, weight loss surgery and treatment, senior care, women's health and wound therapy, among other services.

Our Critical Care doctors are available bedside 24 hours a day, and we are staffed with a dynamic multidisciplinary team. This is a fast paced environment, and we deliver the highest level of care to our patients. Additional Information:

Cardio Vascular ICU: CVICU is a 24 bed cardiovascular intensive care unit that specializes in complex aortic surgery, minimally invasive valve replacement, and mechanical circulatory support including ECMO. With a nationally recognized surgeon/ medical director, we are rapidly growing surgical volume and recently implemented flagship cardiogenic shock/Impella and CRRT programs. We have a designated CVICU educator devoted to keeping you up to date on education and will support and guide you to reach your full potential!

Additional Information:

• Open Heart focus. Also take PCU overflow can be 3:1. Have techs. Some vascular pts. Census usually 20-21, mainly short term. Example 5-6 days stay
• Use baloon pumps and dialysis. Respond to their own codes.
• Baloon pump experience a plus but not required. CCRN nice but can get later
• 1:2 ratios
• MUST HAVE at least 1 year of acute*
  • care experience. mostly looking for people wanting to learn and grow.

  Endoscopy RN: Our Endoscopy services have three rooms. The NF Endoscopy Center pride ourselves on our caring, compassionate, and highly skilled staff of RN’s, and Endoscopy Technologists. Together, we claim hundreds of years of experience. Our unique team comes together with strong backgrounds in Operating Room, Preoperative and Postoperative Care, Intensive Care, and Emergency Room training, to provide high quality care. In addition, all of our staff, including our business office staff remains current to provide safe and effective care to every patient who walks through our doors

  Additional Information:

  • Looking for 3+ years in endo, IR, PACU, OR, Cath Lab or Critical Care
  • 3 Endo rooms
  • About 10-25 cases a month
  • 15 FTE
  • ON CALL is REQUIRED
  • on call is one weekend a month, 5/6 weekdays a month
  • 8-5 pm shift

  Position Summary:

  Provide professional nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process. To collaborate with other members of the health care delivery team including physicians, to deliver quality health care.

  Qualifications:

  EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:

  • Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing, or BSN required

  LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

  • Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required
  • BLS – AHA Healthcare Provider
  • ACLS & PALS required (Same Day Surgery)
  • CNOR preferred

  EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED:

  • 1-3 Years Acute care experience preferred

  SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

  • Reads and writes Basic English with the basic skills necessary to transcribe physician’s orders
  • Knowledge of universal precautions
  • Ability to listen, empathize and respond to patient, family, internal and external partners needs
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic arrhythmia test recognition – have upon hire or within 30 days of hire with a 90% passing score
