Seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant for a position in Fountain Valley, CA. This is a full-time permanent position. Hybrid position - on site a couple of days a week.

The Senior Revenue Accountant is responsible for all revenue related duties, including, but not limited to: analyzing revenue from single source data and creating journal entries to accurately upload the recording of all revenue related transactions into our ERP and financial reporting systems; provide reporting on said revenue and sales data; analyzing customer discounts and trends; contributing to period financial closes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for all company revenue recognition and reporting. Including but not limited to, creating complex journal entries for recording revenue, reporting on revenue, internal growth, requisition counts, customer discounts, etc.
• Ability to understand and prepare financial statements
• Responsible for the management of and period balancing and reporting of specific balance sheet accounts
• Key contributor to period-close process including ensuring accurate and timely recordings of period activity
• Communicate and work with teams across multiple departments to achieve common goals and support synergies and information sharing
• May be asked to participate on revenue team projects, revenue process improvements and best practices and/or special projects as assigned
• Liaison between internal and external audit with regards to revenue processes and recognition

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Accounting
• At least 5 years’ experience in a revenue accounting role
• Experience with Oracle systems strongly preferred
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP principles, and understanding of ASC 606
• Exceptionally strong Excel skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products including Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong knowledge of proper accounting practices
