Role Overview
Support a large enterprise healthcare organization with analytics-focused application development
Hands-on development role using Python and R
Focus on batch processing, REST APIs, and enterprise analytics systems
This is not a data science or BI role
Work within a regulated environment following established SDLC and IT control standards
What You’ll Be Doing
Develop and maintain applications using Python and R
Build and support batch processing workflows and scheduled jobs
Develop and integrate REST APIs using Python
Write and maintain SQL and stored procedures
Perform unit testing, peer code reviews, and system documentation
Evaluate libraries and tools for business and technical fit
Support production stability and performance testing
Follow SDLC, release, and change management procedures
Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders
Ensure IT controls are followed to protect data confidentiality, integrity, and availability
Required Skills and Experience
3+ years of professional experience in analytics or application development
Strong hands-on experience with Python
Working experience with R in an analytics or data processing context
Experience developing and consuming REST APIs using Python
Experience with batch file processing and job scheduling
Database experience with SQL and stored procedures
Experience working in Linux or UNIX environments
Understanding of SDLC, testing, and release practices
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks
Nice to Have
Experience in healthcare or financial services environments
Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models
Familiarity with regulated or compliance-driven environments
