Responsible for the leadership of multiple application development teams supporting systems for Crew Operations, Hours of Service Reporting, Taxi, Unit Train Operations and the Network Operations Workstation. These mission-critical systems, some of which were vendor provided and supported, provided the necessary tools to call crews effectively within the constraints of contractual obligations and regulatory restrictions, to provide the necessary monthly federal mandated Hours of Service reporting, to efficiently utilize taxi services for the efficient movement of crews, to track the movement and facilitate the management of unit trains, and to provide a comprehensive overview of the CSX network and its operations. These systems spanned multiple platforms including OS/390, Unix and Windows and were developed using COBOL, Java and HTML and utilized VSAM, IMS, DB2 and Oracle databases. Additional responsibilities included a leadership role for development of a new crew system strategy, participation in capital and OE planning, expanded vendor management along with pursing an expanded usage of off-shore resources to effectively manage a dynamic development work-load.

Additional responsibilities included oversight for comprehensive Safety training for the Technology department, participation in capital and OE planning, implementation of an enterprise learning system TrainingTrax, and expanded vendor management.
