Performed a lead role as an SME in CDC's IT Modernization effort to develop and deliver shared services across CDC NIOSH research and service areas. The shared data and application services were developed within a private cloud Analytics Data Warehouse (ADW) enclave from the ground up. Data Governance and Extreme Security were an inherent part of this effort. The role involved wearing multiple hats including serving as a technical team leader for applications, providing subject matter expertise in developing and delivering private cloud, shared services within a heavily fortified, Analytics Data Warehouse environment with strong Data Governance. Shared services included providing Virtual Volumes, Virtual Workspaces, and 200+ advanced analytics and engineering applications including AI/ML, Big Data Analytics, Engineering and various other platforms and applications. Achievements and Key accountabilities/responsibilities: Lead the Virtual Applications team in developing Virtual Platforms, Applications and Workspaces including the initial AppDev, Analytics, Engineering, SQL Server, IIS, GIT, SharePoint shared applications under Windows and Linux workspaces. Served as an SME in developing the approach for private cloud shared services, data governance, virtual volume services, virtual gateway services, analytics data warehouse services in a highly secure, heavily fortified analytics data warehouse environment with almost no external (internet) access. Lead successful global effort to Simplify and Migrate 250+ applications ($6Million +) from Coca-Cola (Coke/KO) owned or managed private data centers to the cloud, primarily AWS and Azure. As part of this effort managed the delivery of work from multiple service providers. The program is on an aggressive timeline with a fixed end date. Achievements and Key accountabilities/responsibilities: Lead the definition and implementation of migration processes from Project Charter and Discovery to Cutover and Decommissioning including setting up the Cloud Review Board for migration to AWS and Azure. Lead and managed the initial manual migration of 21 applications and later converting it into a fixed price model for execution by MSPs based on a migration factory model with migration patterns ranging from tool-based Lift and Shift to Rebuild, Refactor and Re-platform of 250+ applications. Have in-depth technical knowledge of cloud migration, cloud security, cloud capabilities and problem solving. A primary part of this effort is driving the alignment of global business owners, IT owners, support and operations of disparate applications. Work included categorization of application list into Migration, Waitlist and Quarantine. Workloads included migrating several highly restricted applications. Apart from these custom developed solutions, the Deloitte Managed Analytics PaaS solution serves as the flagship data analytics platform. for migration and consolidation of multiple data centers to a Managed Cloud Provider (MCP). The program consisted of six expert services teams and numerous Products and Solution teams each led by a delivery manager reporting to me on the migration. Achievements and Key accountabilities/responsibilities: Provided leadership in critical areas while iLab infrastructure group was being created from the ground up. This included, serving as the Sr. Program manager for migration of 20+ Deloitte iLab and Converge Health products, around 45 infrastructure components, around 1500 VMs, migration of bare metal, and the core Deloitte Managed Analytics Platform (PaaS) from multiple data centers to a Managed Cloud Provider (CaaS). Workloads included migrating several highly restricted financial and health care applications.
