Working on the SBSS Program: Responsible for software design, code, and test of software in a semi-agile environment. Using Java, Eclipse, NetBeans, and Oracle on a Windows platform, soon to be ported to a Linux workstation. JIRA was used for agile development environment tool to house backlog and work assignment tasks. TeamCity was used for producing a continuous build environment. All builds occurring as soon as software changes were made and merged into the baseline system. Crucible was used for managing source code, projects, and code reviews.

Software written in Java, C++, and C# on PCs under both Linux and Windows operating systems following all processes to maintain a current CMMI SEI Level 4 rating. Previous duties included Technical Lead Engineer responsible for the supervision of five software developers on the Common Training Instrumentation Architecture (CTIA) program for the U.S. Army. Duties include supervision and mentoring of developers on software running under both Linux and Windows operating systems. The software is developed in Java, C++, C# and .NET, XML, HTML and SQL. Additionally responsible for system and software requirements for four software components: Military Exercise Planning, Two Dimensional Map Display, Exercise After Action Review, and Exercise Task Organization. My position responsibilities also include object-oriented software design, code, test and integration of an interactive tool for data collection tasking for the Exercise After Action Review Component of CTIA. Duties included scope and requirements definition, schedule development, monthly reports to the Contracting Officer, user interface, travel to military locations, and procurement of hardware. Other responsibilities included the assignment of duties to and management of software developers at local and remote facilities. Telemedicine: Responsible for writing the proposal for this new venture. Upon contract award, the project was supported the through code development and system installation at user sites. This project established a remote, video connection between medical facilities such as Walter Reed Hospital (Washington, D.C.) and the Ft. Detrick (Maryland) clinic to allow Drs. to consult between remote locations. By creating a video connection between the medical sites, less experienced doctors, nurse practitioners and physician's assistants at smaller facilities could consult with expert doctors at the larger facilities. All Source Analysis System (ASAS): Configuration manager for a U.S. Army program: PAWS (Portable ASAS (All Source Analysis System) WorkStation). The software managed was in C and ran on MicroVAX workstations. Responsibilities also included the development of software for a security manager application for this program, including a Graphical User Interface. As a member of the Configuration Control Board, responsibilities included the tracking of software trouble reports, prioritization of baseline changes and risk assessment. Also, responsible for on-site installation, training and exercise support of U.S. Military before and during training exercises in the U.S. and in Europe. The software was hosted on both HP and Sun, Unix workstations. Coordination of software development among several sites within the U.S. and Europe was performed. Also performed software builds and was responsible for the distribution of executable software and written documentation to both Government and Commercial facilities. Other responsibilities included conducting performance appraisals and tracking timesheets of subordinate staff and participating in the development of proposals for new and follow-on contracts. Participated in system/software demonstrations in support of Government trade shows such as the Association of the U.S. Army (AUSA) where U.S. Military and Government Officials view new technology.
