Organic inc. is one of the original interactive agencies. I was brought on as a contractor to help with various web projects.

• I setup a site with Google Webmaster Tools. Where I added a site map and had it indexed. I researched and added other SEO techniques. All this was done in preparation to add Googles Custom Search Engine to the site. I modified the websites search results page to show the google search results in our custom template design using the data in the page map, returned from within the sitemap. I added a new video player and made it ADA compliant, smoothed out a page transition animation, worked with their database to add a missing company to their map and made a couple of other fix's and updates. I built a Bash script which read in the database and built the sitmap.xml file and an annotations.xml file.
• I worked with another developer to build front end views using html, less and javascript for a one page app.
• I developed UI Web Views for a mobile application and set up local servers to simulate returned data api's. Built custom plugins where needed.

Country Curtains Inc. is an E-Commerce site. There stores are located on the east side of the United States. I worked remotely for them keeping in contact via email and instant messaging. They started another site called prospectandvine.com. They hired me to help get new functionality up and running with the release of the new site.

• I created a Returns and Exchange section for both Country Curtains and Prospect and Vine. This allows a customer to enter in their order number, last name and postal/zip code. It will than search for any orders which match the entered criteria. If found, the next page will list all items in and allow them to select the items they wish to return. Than the web app communicates with Fedex via their shipping api's and presents the customer with a shipping label that they can print out. If an order is not found they will be redirected to a page where they can enter in a Product Id and it will search for the existing product in our database. If found it will allow them to enter information for the item and will than direct them to the Shipping Label page.
• I added a live chat service called Olark.
• I created what they call the Roulette Wheel on Prospect and Vine. This grabs products listed in a text file and displays them on the home page in a Slot Machine fashion. The user can then click a button and the 4 slots will land on one of the randomly chosen combinations
• I added Cj Affiliate Tagging. This keeps track of all purchases made when the customer was driven to the site by a specific entity. If there is a specific parameter in the url when the customer hits the site, I drop a cookie. On the order confirmation page, if that cookie exists, I load a javascript object with the order information and some site specific information and it gets fired off and sent to Cj Affiliate for tracking.

• Updated and/or created new displays created by our designers using javascript, html, and css.
• Was solely responsible for all updates and new additions needed for Christmastreeshops.com.
• Co-developed with Marketlive (the company which handles Cost Plus World Markets backend).
• Was responsible for implementing modifications and new functionality to the backend using Java, Struts, Spring and Hibernate:
• Added the ability for shoppers to pin a product to their Style Board. And have all public Style Boards viewable.
• Added Password Recovery to their mobile website.
• Modified the main navigation so that it returned JSON from the server instead of html to make it easier to build the main navigation with javascript on the front end.
• Added the ability to retrieve a saved basket with a particular url which included the basket id and user id.
• Changed the layout of the SKU display in the Admin organize panel.
• Added the ability to request a product to be returned in JSON format.

Tierra Interactive is the web services side of a San Francisco family business. They have been providing web services to clients everywhere in the U.S since the earliest days of the world wide web. They work directly with small business clients, or through designers needing technical help on their projects.
