Hired as a senior system engineering to work with a Managed Service Provider to redesign Active Directory and to bring it in line with best practices. Quickly moved into the Engineering Manager position responsible for management of a server infrastructure of over 100 servers utilizing Windows Server Operating Systems 2003R2, 2008R2, and 2012R2 in a virtual and physical environment.
Key Contributions:
- Planned and managed the integration of two company acquisitions, involving Active Directory integration, server and PC migrations, user migrations and WAN integrations
- In less than 30 days, planned and integrated a 60-person offshore call center into infrastructure. This included integration into Active Directory, configuration and deployment of 60 thin clients. Configure Citrix farm to isolate the servers necessary to support the center because of PCI and client requirements
- Redesigned the company’s PKI infrastructure, created a deployment process and instructions for engineers to quickly deploy the solution
- Implement a Meraki Wireless network involving six locations. Designed the private and guest networks, system controls, and Layer Four and Seven restrictions to ensure network security. Wrote the accompanying usage and audit polices.
- Rewrote the company’s Change Management, Incident and Problem Management policies to implement ITL best practices.
