Duties
• Responsible product manager for the after sales product line such as modernizations, pre-owned machines, software and hardware accessories (worldwide).
• Responsible for all phases of the product lifecycle including aftermarket.
• Product related product-business controlling (sales volume, revenue, profit etc.).
• Creation of product related documentation (with a technical, a marketing and a sales scope).
• Definition of pricing strategies in collaboration with sales.
• Determine distribution channels in collaboration with sales.
• Creation of product related documentation (with a technical, a marketing and a sales scope). Collaboration with Marketing to prepare advertising and promotional materials for a global multilevel promotion of the products.
• Planning and conducting international trade shows.
• Identify new business opportunities (product, market or service).
• Triggering new product developments including sourcing optimization.
• In-depth product knowledge and technical knowledge.
• Negotiating with internal and external customers, partners, government agencies and suppliers.
• Product training for sales representatives and sales people (worldwide).
• Involvement in solving customer complaints and quality assurance. Achievements
• The product portfolio was successfully renewed and products optimized trough detailed worldwide market research and competitor analysis, increasing continuously the revenues of the after sales products portfolio in a five years period at a rate of approx. 5-10 % per year.
• Continuous improvement of the product presentation on fairs e.g. by using creative ideas as well as modern technologies (creating professional product videos, laser shows etc.). 5/8
• Publication of diverse articles regarding materials testing in specialized magazines.
• Successful negotiations with selected suppliers in order to complete the product portfolio with the aim to offer the customers an "all-from-one-hand" product range.
