The regulatory capital team is responsible for the production and reporting of risk-weighted assets (RWA), supplementary leverage ratio (SLR), single credit counterparty limit (SCCL), and capital ratios under the US Basel 3 rules for foreign banking organizations. You will be working on the latest regulatory compliance for complex products and have an opportunity to learn about the life cycle of financial products. Our team uses the latest business intelligence tools like Alteryx, Tableau, and BusinessObjects for day-to-day analytics. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and submission of regulatory report FR 2590 filing with the relevant regulatory bodies
  • Perform supporting calculations on components of RWA, capital supply, leverage, SCCL exposure
  • Substantiate & validate SCCL balances for Internal management reporting and regulatory reporting as required
  • Ensure compliance with internal regulatory reporting policies and procedures
  • Lead the user acceptance testing (UAT) of calculation of SCCL balances mainly for repo-style transactions and derivatives in line with requirements
  • Identify, escalate, and remediate data-quality deficiencies

Experience:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of banking regulatory reporting rules and regulations (5-10 years of experience)
  • Organizational and proven analytical and problem-solving skills, aligned with excellent attention to detail and time management
  • Previous experience in working with foreign banking organizations (FBO) and intermediate holding company (IHC) regulatory requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • CPA, MBA, or advanced degree is beneficial
  • Knowledge of the regulatory reporting tools (e.g. Axiom), general ledgers, offered products and their related activities is a plus

How You’ll Lead:

  • Prepare and present analytic packs and explain variance analysis to educate and senior management and support functions
  • Analyze & present the impact of proposed and final regulatory rules to senior management
  • Identify any gaps in implementation and work towards the closing of all such gaps; take a lead role in bank examinations, internal, and external audits
