Seeking a Field Applications Manager for Point of Care services for a 100% Remote position.
The Field Applications Manager will be responsible for managing field installation/service staff members to ensure high quality, timely installations nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Ownership of installation process and site / client service relationship
- Train and hold installation team accountable in all aspects of install and field service for all POC products
- Establish and own process for internal support, enabling necessary resources to support high quality installations as needed.
- Manage Field Applications Specialists (FAS) including hiring, training, scheduling and coordination to ensure installation quality and excellent customer experience
- Drive revenue recognition by management of backlog and installation numbers to achieve business objectives
- Provide installation forecast to management
- Create (in collaboration with Product Management and Production teams) and maintain documentation necessary for installation of software and hardware and ensure team compliance.
- Assist in development and implementation of customer and FAS training.
- Establish collaborative relationship with product management and marketing for installation process improvement ideas.
- Responsible for improving customer satisfaction with installation process as measured by surveys and responses from customer experience team, sales, and support staff.
- Report monthly to management on installations numbers, survey results, recommendations, etc.
- Create and maintain best practices process and policies/procedures for POC installations.
- Manage travel/installation expenses to meet budget objectives.
- Maintain collaborative working relationships with FAS/technical support/service/product management & sales team staff members.
- May serve as project manager for large multi-site installations.
- Fill in on field installations as needed.
- Perform other assignments as assigned by Director in support of the installation process.
Requirements
- Demonstrate effective leadership, interpersonal skills, decision making, conflict resolution, time management and customer focus.
- Strong teamwork capabilities including the ability to effectively work with leadership, peers and other internal and external individuals through projects, making sure project deadlines are met and projects enhance the goals and strategic direction of the company.
- Ability to effectively work with executive leaders, peers, and employees through projects, making sure project deadlines are met.
- Minimum 5 years management or leadership experience
- Minimum 3 years instrumentation installation / support experience.
- Veterinary Technician/Medical Technologist background preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Must work well independently and work in a matrix based organization with minimal direction.
- Must be able to handle multiple projects and be able to adapt to changes in priority.

- BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience in related field preferred.
Travel
- Travel requirement: up to 50% of time
