Seeking a Senior Supply Chain Data Analyst for a 100% Remote position to optimize Purchasing Processes.
The Senior Supply Chain Data Analyst will be well-versed in leveraging data to develop insights to optimize business. The candidate will connect data from multiple systems, automate processes, develop faster & deeper insights while improving visibility.
Responsibilities
- Support and assist the purchasing team with all purchasing processes within the ERP purchasing system.
- Create processes and methods to gather supply chain data
- Analyze data to identify problematic areas and suggest supply chain optimization opportunities
- Track KPIs and report on supply chain’s performance
- Monitor and collect data on current operations (scheduling, sourcing, warehousing, production, and delivery)
- Investigate pain points within the process and develop solutions to resolve conflicts and inefficiencies
- Gather data on each step within the supply chain, using it to recommend changes to reduce costs
- Create performance and trending reports for management to review
- Ensure to maintain the ERP Purchasing System and that data integrity is accurate and as required per department policies and procedures. #, Manufacturer, Mfg. #, UOM, UOM conversion factor, Classification, price, lead time, location(s) requiring the item, etc.
- Extract, clean, transform and visualize large datasets to optimize sourcing across a vast SKU and vendor base
- Own data feeds, manual and automated, used in ongoing data extraction and reporting of ongoing initiatives
- Analysis and reporting of enterprise-wide COGS in various forms, highlighting potential opportunities
- Highlight data problems and quickly solve to enable cost analytics accuracy
- Own cost savings initiatives of your own, track to completion
- Build forecasts to be used in budgeting process, based on number of variables known and unknown
- Create new tools & processes that can help streamline data management, including but not limited to: data extraction for analysis, automated vendor scorecards, RFP tools & templates, project workstream tracking, KPI reporting, PowerPoint decks, site handouts
- Communicate with other departments within the organization to identify efficiency issues, develop solutions, and implement changes
- May be asked to participate in enterprise initiatives, special projects, and other duties as assigned

Requirements
- Fluency in Microsoft Excel & Power BI (lookups, data aggregation, formatting, sorting, nested if’s, etc.)
- Organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Access, Excel, & PowerPoint)
- Experience in data mining, analysis, and reporting
- Familiarity with supply chain processes (inventory planning, warehouse management)
- Analytical mind with business acumen
- Problem-solving aptitude
- High attention to detail
- Able to convert data to information and communicate effectively
- Team focus, positive and giving attitude
- Ability to handle change and meet deadlines in a very fast-paced environment
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Finance or related field of study
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
