We are currently seeking to hire a Senior Corporate Accountant who will exercise discretion and independent judgment to direct, oversee, and ensure completion of all accounting and financial activities for the assigned division as well as supporting financial activities at a corporate level. Accounting duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, methods and procedures
  • Requires considerable knowledge of business administration principles and skill in financial management
  • Prepare, examine and analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports, at both a divisional and corporate level, to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
  • Assist with the process of establishing and monitoring the annual business plan
  • Provide budget vs. actual explanations regularly
  • Coordinate, direct and monitor the financial reporting, procurement, and investment activities of the division and other business units as assigned
  • Advise Division Leader and Corporate Controller on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions
  • Prepare Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly Journal Entries and reports
  • Analyze division (and other assigned business unit) financial details of past, present, and expected operations to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed
  • Monitor financial division activities and details, such as cash flow and reserve levels, to ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are met
  • Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards
  • Help Corporate Controller and Assistant Corporate Controller develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting for division

Required Skills

  • Four-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills
  • 3 – 7 years’ experience
  • Advanced level of proficiency with Excel, and basic knowledge of Word

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with public accounting experience preferred
