Seeking a QA Automation Test Lead for a 100% Remote opportunity working from the east coast.

The QA Lead Role will be responsible for creating and executing test cases for the projects that they are assigned to. Additional responsibilities will include assigning tasks and reviewing testing results from the off-shore QA team, implementing and standardizing the use of Xray test management platform and implementing a test automation strategy. The QA Test Lead works directly with Software Development and related IT teams providing both quality assurance and quality control for our software solutions. What you'll get to do

  • Build and review testing architecture and design documentation, drive testing improvements, set quality standards, review code and promote testing best practices
  • Work across the organization and regions to collaborate and promote cross functional testing and testing tools
  • Conduct testing on all software products for applicable platforms utilizing systems analysis techniques and procedures; conduct both automated and manual testing
  • Guide offshore team on latest testing trends and tools
  • Conduct impact assessment on the testing plan based on existing test library, regression and automation cases, and degree of complexity of the requirement.
  • Work closely with Business Analysts and Application Development Managers to contribute to requirements and possible solutions in an effort to drive quality in our applications
  • Helps create a test suite library, identifying test cases that should be utilized for regression testing/ used repeatedly for system upgrades.
  • Strong understanding of testing best practices
  • Strong understanding and experience coding test cases (regression, functional, unit, integration, code coverage, performance, end-to-end, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge and experience designing, implementing and utilizing APIs (example Postman to help with testing)
  • Manage Test scenarios and execution of test cases across all testing phases (e.g. SIT, Performance, UAT, Etc.)
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility, team spirit, and positive approach.
  • History of learning new technologies on the fly.
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic agile environment and participate in all aspects of our agile process
  • Report to developers and management on quality issues and trends.
  • Ability to estimate level of testing needed, create a test plan, test design and execute testing scripts.
  • Provide readout on test results, report bugs, and develop QA metrics.

Skills and experience we value

  • Associates degree or higher in Information Technology or Computer Science, or related field; or an equivalent number of years of experience in quality assurance position
  • At least 5 years’ experience in applicable role
  • SDET/ATDD/BDD test automation
  • Experience working with offshore teams
  • Xray Test Management platform or HP ALM/Quality Center
  • Cucumber/Selenium
  • Postman – 5 or more years
  • JavaScript (React/Angular)
  • DevOps Automation
  • Public Cloud Experience (Azure or AWS)
  • MySQL/SQL
  • Basic understanding of software project development concepts and quality control methodologies
  • Strong technical capacity to understand and communicate features and quality assurance measures
  • Prioritizes well, demonstrates initiative and energy, identifies to opportunities, fosters urgency in others and meets deadlines
  • Strong orientation to quality, continuous improvement and customer service
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate effectively and at a relatable level with audience, both written and verbally

  • Experience creating and running test case automation in Selenium or UI Path preferred.
