Seeking an Azure Devops Engineer for a remote position to help migrate from Jenkins to ADO. Remote from EST.
To strengthen our Shared Services Team, we are currently looking for a Solution Engineer focused on DevSecOps and SRE. The position will apply DevOps practices and tools to modernize current build and release tool stacks. The successful candidate will design, implement, document, and maintain modern pipelines across hybrid environments delivering automation across infrastructure, builds, packaging, security, and observability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Make a positive impact on our products and projects. The Shared Services group supports all aspects of packaging, assuring, documenting, and delivering products for both internal and external customers. The team offers a collaborative environment where you can teach and learn from others.
Must haves
- Broad pipeline automation experience with Azure DevOps and Jenkins.
- Automating the delivery of binaries to Artifact repositories (Azure Artifacts and Nexus).
- Migrating Jenkins Pipelines to Azure DevOps.
- Migrating Ant scripts to Maven or Gradle.
- Migrating/Mirroring SVN repositories to Azure DevOps Git.
- Upgrading Jenkins LTS releases.
- Experience researching and demonstrating cloud native technologies to achieve specific business, technical, or organizational objectives (i.e. Terraform, DSC, Package management tools).
- Experience promoting, implementing, and improving build and deployment standards by collaborating and working alongside R&D, customer facing Project Delivery, and Operations teams.
- English speaking and writing skills.
Nice to have
- Experience integrating securely store passwords and other secrets (sensitive data such as API keys, encryption keys, etc.) in Azure DevOps.
- Contributor to a CNCF project.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Production experience with Azure DevOps and Jenkins.
- Experience with PaaS and SaaS.
- Platform experience bundling different tools from different layers together to solve a larger problem.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in STEM, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years’ experience in DevOps and/or Site Reliability Engineering.
- Experience applying CNCF projects.
- 2+ years’ experience in a product organization working directly with or on a software development teams.
