Seeking a Mainframe .NET Migration Specialist for an 100% Remote position.

The PRINCIPAL MAINFRAME MIGRATION SPECIALIST works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Strong knowledge in C# (C-Sharp) technologies and debugging code is a must have. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise. The Principal works on the migration efforts of critical, industry-class, on-house, or commercial products as well as tooling for use in project work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Learns and becomes an expert using tools to perform mainframe migrations.
• Performs mainframe refactors to C#.
• Document requirements, use cases, system design and code
• Participate in multiple concurrent projects to completion on-time and on-budget
• Deliver within the scope of the project within the scope of a Factory project while not compromising on quality
• Work closely with team members and clients to achieve desired results
• Thrive in an environment of collaboration and change
• Develops and works with the client to augment our Factory target-state product using the client’s coding standards and best practices

Education

• BA/BS in Information Systems or related area of study or equivalent work experience

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

• 5+ years of experience with mainframe application and database technologies
• 5+ Years of Development experience using cutting edge development tools in C#
• Expert level in mainframe application technologies (COBOL, CICS, DB2, etc…)
• Expert level experience coding in C#
  • Capable of code debugging, performing builds, and rollouts
  • Experience with algorithms and data structures
• Expert-level capability to code using highly abstract design principles.
  • Exposure to or experience with third party development frameworks desired
  • The ability to learn new frameworks in a short period
• Agile methodology for software development.
• Certifications in any of the following Azure technologies:
  • Azure Developer Associate
  • Business/Data Analytics (70-767, 70-768, or Data Scientist Associate)
  • Windows (70-412, 70-740, 70-741, 70-742)
• Strong object-oriented programming debugging skills.
• Proven experience in Mainframe and Cloud Technology.
• Expert database development knowledge.
  • SQL development
  • Understanding of database concepts
  • Ability to create/maintain database objects
  • Query tuning
