Seeking an International Trade Legal Analyst for a Defense & Space company with native fluency in Mandarin for a hybrid role in Washington, DC.
To assist with the review of Section 301 Tariffs, public comments, and exclusion requests. This work could include tasks such as legal and factual research, analyzing and summarizing documents, drafting summary materials, preparing documents for filing, checking citations and facts, and preparing documentary evidence for presentation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct electronic and manual research for identified subject matter.
- Draft memoranda summarizing and/or analyzing research results.
- Review documents for identified subject matter.
- Occasional translation of research results into English.
- Scan and file images of documents as appropriate.
- Assist in the creation and updating of tracking logs.
- Review, summarization, and preparation of documents.
- Assist in various litigations
Qualifications
- Experience working in U.S. trade issues or an associated analytical and/or research environment.
- Have strong research skills
- Native Fluency in Mandarin
- A language assessment will be administered as a final portion of the interview process. Candidates will be asked to translate a PDF in the target language and answer comprehension questions at the end of the document.
