Seeking a Data Scientist for a hybrid role in Washington, D.C.
Background
This position is related to monitor and enforce rights under US trade agreements.
Responsibilities
- Perform analysis of data; identify and quantify data issues within the organization and assist in the development of plans to resolve these issues.
- Responsible for data mapping and extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) activities as needed. Support routine data management processes and ad hoc user requests as well as perform testing activities as needed. Attend meetings as necessary. Must be highly proficient in Excel, as well as proficient with data visualization tools, i.e., Tableau.
- Qualifications in math, statistics, operations research, economics, or related quantitative discipline with experience are required. Summarize findings and research in written products of various types, including tables, charts, short summaries, as well as longer memos, presentations, and reports. Query, research, and analyze codes.
- Initiate objective qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Draft and present in-depth written products to describe and summarize complex analyses.
- Monitoring and enforcement by providing trade data analysis with respect to the United States and China, specifically imports and exports; support enforcement-related negotiations by tracking global import and export trends; and trade enforcement analysis of certain domestic production data.
Qualifications
- Approximately 8 Years of Related Experience
- Tableau experience
- Clearance: Public Trust
- Certifications - nice to have.
Education
- Mandatory: MS/MA degree in a relevant field, as well as industry knowledge.
