Hiring ASAP! Low Voltage Cable Technician with OSHA & SST for a new opportunity in New York City.
Rate: $25/hour 1099
You will install, service, and repair low-voltage cabling.
Low Voltage Installer Duties
- Pulling and routing CAT 5 or CAT 6 cable in a new construction commercial environment.
- Coordinate with clients to assure the timely completion of work
- Terminating phone jacks and dressing and terminating distribution frames (66 or 110 blocks, patch panels)
- Installing support structures (ladders, racks, j-hooks)
Qualifications:
- OSHA 30 Certified (Occupational Safety and Health Association)
- OSHA 10-hour Certification
- SST Card (Site Safety Training Card) is proof that someone has completed the safety training required for construction and demolition workers on certain job sites by the New York City Department of Buildings (NYC DOB).
- Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA, or NEC Standards
- Rack and stack work, closet work, putting together server racks, patch panels
- Ability to read and understand schematic and line diagrams
- Your own basic telecom tools including punch downs, snips, wire strippers, cordless drills, PPE (safety gear), etc.
- Must consent to a pre-employment background and drug screen
