Seeking a Technical Writer with Public Trust Clerarance for a role in Washington, D.C .
Background
This position is focused on the writing of SOP documents.
Responsibilities
- This position will primarily focus on technical editing and writing of policy and procedure documents.
- Review written technical documents for clarity, grammar, spelling, punctuation, content, and style.
- Create policies and procedures.
- Develop Outline and drafts for review and approval by technical specialists and Management.
- Consult relevant information sources to obtain background information and verify pertinent guidelines and regulations governing final products.
- Proofread, revise, and edit technical information in the work of technical writers.
- Review writing pieces for clarity, punctuation, grammar, and content. Design graphics and layouts, maintain websites, and develop web content.
- Work with researchers to ensure document accuracy.
- Must have a strong command of the English language.
- Conform to a strict style guide and review/editing guidelines.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years’ relevant experience. Prior experience supporting a Federal organization is very highly desired.
- Public Trust Clearance
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in English Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
