Seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer for an exciting position in the Space and Defense Industry located in Blacksburg, Virgnia.

This position is responsible for circuit-level design, simulation, and troubleshooting to support power supply and inverter applications.

Responsibilities

• Direct small team on Power electronics projects.
  
• Read and interpret customer specifications and understand how the specification applies to the electronics.
• Use thermal design skills to select component packages and design appropriate thermal interfaces.
• Circuit design for electro-magnetic interference and susceptibility attenuation.
• Design, simulate and prepares schematic design of circuitry for Power Electronics systems Magnetics design and evaluation (transformers, inductors)

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Power Electronics.
• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering
• Power converter circuit/architecture analysis.
• Experience in control loop.
• Circuit simulation PSIM and MATLAB or similar.
