As a scrum master I am responsible for guiding the team on how to use agile methods and coach on continuous improvement and self-organization. I worked with the product owner to maintain and priorities/order the product backlog according to business values and I am responsible for the delivery of these product artifacts.
Main responsibilities include project initiation, scope, planning, resourcing, budgeting, delivery, cost management, risk management and change management for 15 + projects.
- I organize the team’s operations by facilitating daily standup, sprint planning and instilling Agile principles into daily activities to ensure smooth functioning of the delivery team.
- I work with the team on story estimation, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint review and retrospectives.
- I work with Product Owner to prioritize Epics, Features and User Stories, collaborate with the Product Owner to groom and facilitate Backlog management, plan sprints, document various working agreement, defining the ready and done for the scrum team.
- I remove and/or escalate impediments that slow any aspect of the development team’s effort.
- Coached team members on agile processes and facilitated planning meetings and retrospectives. Maintained task board and produce daily burndown charts.
- I work with the team to ensure all task complies with company policies and procedures and regulatory body requirements for project delivery and financial rigor.
- Working with Jira, confluence and clarity for task allocation and resource request
- Lead a team of both on and offshore resources, external vendors and other partners in the delivery of digital capabilities to various clients across North America
- Define and own digital application roadmaps in partnership with business and other teams
- Train new team members and transition teams to agile framework with scrum to enhance team skill levels.
- I ensure there is common awareness of the process, work in progress and shared agreement.
- Coaches individuals and teams in understanding how to continuously improve and adopt agile practices.
- Effectively tracked team progress, including burn down, velocity and release forecasting to improve the efficiency of the development team.
- Accountable for ensuring that all ceremonies/ events deliver value to the team and to the organization.
- Responsible for creating an energetic, collaborative and motivated team culture where the team can focus on their goals.
- Shield the team from outside distractions and interferences
- Engaged with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of scrum in the organization.
- Create an environment that empowers and energizes team members, with a focus on accountability, adaptability, and collaboration.
