I have worked in IT for over 25 years held many different positions and worked on different platforms. During my years in IT I have perform the following different roles: Analyst, Technical Support, Software Engineer, Data Analyst, Lead Specialist, Tester, Support, and Trainer. My background includes over 10 years in EDI, and over 15 years in Data Warehouse and mainframe.

Business Skills

My business skills include strategic planning, full development life cycle, customer service, and excellent interpersonal skills. Agile experience: Data Mart structure, incorporating system flow charts, feedback, and lessons learned into changes to the system process.

Industry Experience

My industry experience includes retail, transportation, logistics, shipping, HIPAA and health, banking, and law enforcement.

Instructional Design/Training

My background in instructional design/training include training colleagues on EDI and data warehouse, developing TMW training documents for over 100 employees. Also created two LMS websites which incorporates Knowles Andragogy theory of adult learners, Meziro Transformation learning, and Klob’s Experiential learning theories. I’m also working on my dissertation ‘Organization Leaders’ Perception: Impact of Changes in Approaches to Training Programs’.

I have worked in EDI for over 10 years on different platforms. Industry experience includes two years working in health industry and over eight years in the retail, warehouse/logistics, transportation, and shipping. EDI roles included Analyst, Technical Support, Software Engineer, Data Analyst, Lead Specialist, Tester, and Support. EDI software experiences include cloud base CLEO Harmony/Dashboard, Gentran 3.0 and 4.2, GIS SI 4.3, GXS, Ramp, and TradeXpress. Below will highlight my 10 plus years experience in EDI:

Retail, Warehouse/Logistics, Transportation, and Shipping

Over eight years experience incorporating agile framework into development, implementing, revisions, testing, and monitoring. EDI roles include Analyst, Technical Support, Software Engineer, Data Analyst, Lead Specialist, Tester, and Support to perform the following tasks:

• Agile framework to incorporate EDI standards and requirements into mapping, B2B, and supporting EDI process.

Health Industry

One year incorporating logistics into the healthcoverage

Two years in health industry working with HIPPA, and ICD 9 & 10. Incorporated agile framework in performing the following tasks:

• ICD 9 to ICD10 conversion
• AS400 Interface setups – Worked with throttled back other HL7 transactions in order for ADT transactions came first.
• Mapping and communication setups.

Data Warehouse Background

I have worked in Data Warehouse capacity for over 15 years. Industry experience includes transportation and shipping, retail and logistics, and Food. Data Warehouse roles include EDI, DBA, Lead Data Warehouse Developer, and ETL Developer. Different Data Warehouse tools included DB2, Teradata, Oracle, MySQL, and iSeries. Platform includes both Mainframe and UNIX. Below will highlight my 15 plus years experience in Data Warehouse:

• Extracting and mapping EDI data using Oracle and Microsoft SQL.

• Writing complex SQL queries.
• CASE statements.
• DBA (Data Base Administrator).
• Performance tuning.
• Testing and validating information retrieved from both the mainframe and Data Warehouse tables.
• Incorporating agile framework into data analysis including creating adhoc queries, ETL (Extract Transfer Load), and creating data definitions and data collections.

Mainframe Background

I have over 15 years experience working with mainframe processes. Industry experiences include transportation, retail, insurance, and law enforcement.
