Selected Accomplishments

  • I inherited a project to migrate/deploy a new client's public website in a challenging timeframe. I quickly identified key technical resources and requirements planned and executed the implementation to deliver the website on time. The result was that the website was ready in time to coincide with the client's initial branding marketing campaign.
  • I planned and executed the knowledge transfer, application build, and data migration for the operations applications for a US regional energy producer, coordinating with over twenty (20) vendors, migrating fifteen (15) applications into Azure in a critically short timeframe.

Transition Project Manager – Lead the project to migrate and to take life the customer’s new public website.

Energy Harbor is a US regional power generation and energy solutions company.

  • Lead the analysis and design of the website infrastructure design to address website content management requirements, business continuity, reliability, and security to identify the critical tasks to complete the website development and deployment.
  • Coordinated with technical leads from the vendor and from multiple disciplines to identify the technical requirements – website domain registration, Apache, website infrastructure and hosting in Microsoft Azure, Adobe Experience Manager, Bamboo, SQL Server DB, and WebMethods, taking the public website to live in an extremely aggressive timeframe to coincide with the client’s opening marketing campaign.
  • Provided frequent updates to the customer, to leadership, and to the project team to maintain a clear understanding of the risks, issues, and potential impacts as well as the status of critical action items.

Account Program Lead - Plan and manage account programs and support operations including the Service Desk Renewal Program to provide enhanced proactive support for the Johnson Controls’ IT environment.

Johnson Controls produces fire, HVAC, and security equipment for buildings.

  • Provided program oversight for multiple projects and lines-of-business including a major project to enhance the customer’s ServiceNow instance to reduce call center use/cost and related COE support process improvements. This oversight provided focus on the management of cost and risk to the projects and the program overall as well as focus on critical deliverables.

Applications Tower Lead and T&T Lead – Lead the project to migrate the customer’s software applications from the parent company’s IT environment to a centralized Azure virtual IT environment.

GenOn is an independent power producer in the US delivering electricity to wholesale customers.

  • Lead the project to migrate fifteen business-critical operations software applications from the parent company’s IT environment to a combined IT environment that included a centralized Azure cloud-hosted application environment, SaaS applications, and site-hosted applications in over thirty sites across the US. The execution of this migration included developer training, knowledge transfer, software refactoring and porting, data migration, go-live re-configuration, and go-live monitoring and support and required close coordination with approximately fifteen vendors, numerous site and application expert users, and with the parent company’s IT support team and subject-matter experts.
  • Established the application support and software planning processes for the software application team based on agile software development methods and using Jira as the project management platform.
  • Managed the application support team post-T&T – leading projects to enhance the payroll system and to resolve legacy application issues resulting in improved application performance and operations improvements.
