Client: Jackson National Life, Lansing, MI (a division of Prudential, UK)
- Help take long or short term software development projects and processes to completion. The projects are for the annuities that Jackson National sells and maintains for clients globally. In charge of 2 large projects using Waterfall and 4 using Scrum/Agile (Release Train). I also mentor Junior PM’s and Scrum Masters.
- Improvements of processes and help groom stories in the absence of a PRODUCT manager, time tracking (finance), dealing with technical and business areas.
Client: Click1to1.com – Project Manager / Senior Strategy Consultant / E-Commerce(Digital)
- Help take short term software development projects and processes to completion for click1to1 who has their HQ in Boulder, Colorado.
- The projects were for their proprietary cutting edge software in the digital market space for targeted marketing including Analytics (custom web applications and websites). B2B and B2C. Our clients are amongst the largest in the gaming (all MGM brands), travel and leisure industries. I oversee our casino clients and other clients and our Email on Demand product. Predictive Models, Campaign Creation, Email Deployments, CRM, and Host Support projects. I successfully delivered into production projects for MGM and Globus. It is currently in support mode.
- We also use JIRA, Salesforce and Adestra in our environment. I make sure that the tasks are streamlined for the team with the right focus on business analysis and accuracy and QA being done, before moving it into Production. I am also responsible for new tasks and onboarding of new clients. We use Rackspace and Monitis for cloud hosting and monitoring along with Cold Fusion/ SQL Server.
Client: ID Plans – Consultant Development Manager
- Lead efforts in the Real Estate Software industry for the RPM (remote property manager) product
- Streamlined the work and managed the development team on and off shore
- Defined business requirements
- Reported to management on progress of version 4.0 release
- Technologies used were AWS, Java, Dynamo DB, Ember, Github, S3, Scrumwise, Slack
- The project was 90% done and I had to leave as the client ran out of funding and could not afford a consultant.
Client: Best Buy – Senior Strategy Consultant / E-Commerce (Digital)
Led establishment of Agile and SCRUM environments. Helped a large team of 50 on-site personnel and 20 offshore team members in application development, maintenance, and infrastructure activities. Mentored and coached them on Agile/Scrum processes including writing effective use cases/stories
- Established Agile Scrum system process for Business Analysts to gather requirements, enabling teams to meet deadlines previously unattainable. Previously the BEAST team had a hybrid mentality that led to chaos.
- Paved the way for a 40% reduction in cycle development, with additional reductions going forward. Additionally improved negotiations with business partners.
- Established a methodology for pair programming and also interaction with QA
Client: CIGNA – Application Management Consultant
Vetted software architecture for medical and pharmacy side of the business. Helped manage team of developers, architects, and PM and SCRUM masters. I was tasked to hire, train, and retain staff and consultants. Managed $15 million budget. I took on a team where 3 Managers had previously left the position and drve it to a conclusion and helped hire my permanent replacement in MN.
- Achieved on-time, on-budget goals, reversing prior chaotic situation. Drove on-time delivery of all APIs required for Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
- Improved team performance and results, including a lean, efficient team, better tests and code quality, and stronger QA.
- The projects on the Pharmacy side were shevled due to CATAMARAN having been purchased by United Health
- The medical side of the projects were to successfully map data from acquisitions made over the years by CIGNA using FJA.
Client: Jagged Peak – Professional Services Process Consultant /E-Commerce
Hired PMs, developers, and QA/support personnel. Interacted directly with clients to ascertain needs, including largest client Nespresso. Established QA and development team in India, working w/ outplacement provider. Managed $12 million budget.
- Provided improved order fulfillment methodologies to ensure quick, safe delivery of clients’ goods to their customers. Established QA automation framework that improved control of code.
Client: CareCentrix (via Chenoa) – Application Development & Delivery Manager
Managed entire delivery of projects, supervising team of 65-70 that included architects, QA personnel, and developers in both India and the U.S. Managed $14 million budget. Interacted with clients on various matters.
- Captured 67% time savings and 90% improvement in accuracy of claims adjudication. Utilized different technologies, including RedHat solution, to expedite claims payout process.
- Strengthened cooperation between on-site and offshore developers. Involved business team in user acceptance testing.
Client: State Farm – Senior Project Manager /E-Commerce
- Contracted to streamline and lead projects back to timeliness/programs across different applications (Auto and Life); in charge of infrastructure and ICP program. Supervised team of PMs and managed $20 million budget.

Client: Assurant – Senior Application Development Manager
Led 5 medium-sized projects: Ratabase NextGen, Flood Modernization, Inflation Guard, CT Dual Interest, and M&T Client Implementation.
- Brought previously delayed projects back on track, achieving on-time delivery and earning recognition from the PMO for efforts.
- Directed 4 small to medium insurance projects for development (next generation rating engine that provides quotes to clients, flood modernization quote system, and inflation guard project). Oversaw full cycles of projects
- Achieved 30% reduction in fines to the company by decreasing number of errors that caused fines within a heavily regulated industry (insurance).
Client: Lowes – Project Manager /E-Commerce
- Consolidated entire message infrastructure process from 4-5 different tools to a single tool. Managed $25 million budget and supervised team of 80.
- Captured savings of over $7 million by rearchitecting entire system and implementing above mentioned consolidation strategy. Utilized IBM WebSphere MQ and WebSphere WTX (now part of Sterling)local/offshore resources to upgrade entire system in less than a year.
